At noon on Aug. 17, a man assaulted the store clerk of the Tobacco Hut on Franconia Road, and stole money, according to the Fairfax County Police Department.
Surveillance footage led police to identify Anis Sesay as the robber and he was arrested on Aug. 31, authorities reported.
When law enforcement took a closer look at Sesay's crime, they were able to connect him to two other robberies, police said.
He also robbed a Sunoco on Gunston Cover Road on Aug. 14, and was charged with robbery and destruction of property in this incident, officials said.
The third robbery occurred on Aug. 25, when he entered a 7-Eleven on Richmond Highway. Sesay was charged with robbery, preventing a 911 call, and destruction of property for this offense, police reported.
Sesay was held at the Adult Detention Center without bond, law enforcement said.
Anyone with more information on Sesay, and any other robberies he may have committed, should contact police at 703-246-7800.
